Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern participation in Ranthambore Watercolour Week (“the Programme”), organised by Artara (“the Organiser”). By registering for the Programme, participants agree to the terms outlined below.
2. Registration and Payment
2.1 Confirmation of Participation
Participation is confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit payment and written confirmation from the Organiser.
2.2 Payment Schedule
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure participation. The remaining balance must be paid within the timeline communicated by the Organiser.
Failure to complete payment within the specified period may result in cancellation of the registration.
2.3 Pricing
Programme fees are quoted per participant and include only those items specifically mentioned on the website or official programme materials.
3. Programme Changes
The Organiser reserves the right to make reasonable changes to:
- schedules
- venues
- artists or instructors
- accommodation
- activities
- safari arrangements
- cultural programmes
where necessary due to operational, weather-related, safety, or logistical considerations.
4. Travel and Insurance
Participants are responsible for:
- arranging their own travel to and from Ranthambore
- obtaining any required visas or travel documentation
- securing appropriate travel and medical insurance
The Organiser strongly recommends that all participants obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, cancellations, travel disruptions, and personal belongings.
5. Health and Safety
Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically able to participate in the Programme activities, including outdoor painting sessions and safari visits.
Participants must follow all safety instructions provided by:
- the Organiser
- venue staff
- safari authorities
- local guides
The Organiser reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or harmful to others.
6. Safari and Wildlife Activities
Safari access is subject to government regulations, permit availability, weather conditions, and park authority rules.
Wildlife sightings, including tiger sightings, cannot be guaranteed.
Participants must comply with all instructions issued by safari guides and park authorities.
7. Accommodation
Accommodation is provided on a twin-sharing basis unless otherwise specified.
Requests for single occupancy may be accommodated subject to availability and additional charges of INR 25,000.
Participants are responsible for any personal expenses incurred during their stay.
8. Photography and Documentation
The Organiser may photograph or record portions of the Programme for documentation, promotional, archival, or educational purposes.
By participating, participants grant permission for the use of such material unless they specifically request otherwise in writing prior to the Programme.
9. Intellectual Property
Participants retain ownership of all artwork and creative work produced during the Programme.
By participating, participants grant the Organiser permission to photograph, document, reproduce, and display artworks created during the Programme for promotional, archival, editorial, educational, exhibition, and communication purposes related to Artara and future programmes.
Where reasonably possible, appropriate credit will be provided to the artist.
Participants may opt out of promotional use of specific artworks by notifying the Organiser in writing.
10. Limitation of Liability
The Organiser shall not be liable for:
- personal injury
- illness
- loss or damage to personal property
- travel disruptions
- delays
- cancellations
- force majeure events
- wildlife-related incidents
- actions of third-party service providers
Participation in the Programme is undertaken at the participant’s own risk.
11. Conduct
Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward:
- fellow participants
- mentors
- local communities
- wildlife
- staff and collaborators
The Organiser reserves the right to refuse or terminate participation in cases of inappropriate or disruptive conduct without refund.
12. Privacy
Participant information will be used only for purposes related to Programme administration, communication, and logistics, and will not be shared with third parties except where required for operational purposes.
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection with the Programme shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts in India.
